We hope that as a local resident or visitor to the area, you will enjoy this new addition to Marske high street and will call in to take a look around - hopefully you will find something of interest among our antique, vintage and retro collections. Whether you are looking to purchase something for yourself or to find a unique gift, we believe in good 'old fashioned' customer service and we hope that you will become one of our many valued returning customers. Having spent 20 years working as a lawyer in London and in the North East of England, I decided to change direction and develop my passion for antiques and collectables into a business and way of life that I'm still enjoying today. Vintage-by-the-Sea began life online and in April 2023 I also began selling from my shop in Marske-by-the-Sea. We've had so much positive feedback about the shop from local residents and visiting customers and have received a very warm welcome from local business owners too - thank you to everyone who has and continues to support us. I completed my Master of Arts in Antiques from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK, and received a distinction for my dissertation on the 'forgotten women silversmiths of the 18th Century'. My interest in antiques and collectables was influenced by my late Great Grandfather and late Great Uncle, who each enjoyed their specialisms in antique jewellery and furniture respectively. Like them, I am committed to offering value as well as quality to customers both new and old. I hope you enjoy browsing the collections of antique, vintage and retro items online, or in person.
